We had the pleasure of catching up with Emily on her experience of using Orego-Stim Equine in her 10 year old 17.3HH Irish Draft, George.
Emily competes in IDS
show events and Workers with George, but his attitude and behaviour have often
held them back, so she is delighted to have found a supplement, which has “really made a difference”.
Emily tells us:
- “I tried Orego-Stim as I liked the idea of it being natural, and had heard positive things regarding essential oils in other species - but had no idea how much of a positive addition it would be. I am delighted with it.
- I built up the inclusion to the recommended 25 ml over a couple of days, as he is fussy and I was unsure if he would take to it, but no issue there – it has a pleasant herby smell.
- I spoke to the technical support at Anpario regarding inclusion as he is a big horse and we have settled on 30 ml per day. I increase this to 50 ml if we are going to a show or event for a week before.
- What I have seen is that his droppings to be much firmer. The big difference, however, has been in his behaviour both when handling and when ridden – it is honestly like having a different horse, amazing. The benefit it was having hit home when I ran out and was a little slow reordering, within 2 weeks of no Orego-Stim the “old” George returned, I wouldn’t let that happen again!
- George has always been a little unpredictable and uncompliant in nature. His temperament has really changed since starting on Orego-Stim, he is definitely less anxious. This change has really helped him when working, to listen and concentrate, it is no longer a battle between us when schooling him. We are already seeing the difference at shows and events, definitely less anxious and travelling much better than last year. Looking forward to the upcoming shows and ploughing matches in the autumn.”
