James Weatherup,
Poultry breeder and keeper tells us how using Orego-Stim Avian Complete
supports his championship winning birds.
James is well-known in the Poland Bantam breeding and showing community, for his high-quality breeding lines and top condition birds. With his well-regarded reputation, he is also a Qualified Poultry Judge. Over the last 20 years, he has kept various breeds of bantams of different sizes and colours, with the Poland being his main focus! He has used Orego-Stim Avian Complete for a couple years and is extremely happy with the results, demonstrated by his multiple championship wins!
“It gives me
really good results, keeps them in optimum condition and you can see that in
their good feather quality. I need to keep them in top level all year round
with a quick feather regrowth. I also need to keep stress down which can arise
with travel and shows, which it really helps with.”
James attends
multiple shows around Europe with his birds, so keeping them show ready and
equipped for travel is a crucial step in securing his show win.
“I give it to
them from a young age, so it keeps them in good form and great condition. I
also find it gives them a good appetite. I don’t just use it for showing but
for breeding also, I find it helps maximise their fertility levels and keep
stress levels down.”
“I am very happy with it; I give it to all my birds and you can really see the benefit of it.”
James also used
Mitex over the summer in his wooden shed. “I dusted it heavily in the
corners of the shed and sprinkled it over the floors, with some shavings over
the top. I didn’t have any issues with red mite or northern mite at all.”
In addition, James used Clean and Dry – “I placed it on the floor under shavings during wetter weather and I found it helped keep the ground nice and dry which really helped with the clean up.”
